Conditions proved favourable on Wednesday 18th June for the Ernest Doe Power Ringmer branch to mount a successful Grass Day at Mount Farm, Ringmer courtesy of A Peters & Sons. There was a good selection of Lely grass machinery on show and demonstration as well as a variety of Case IH tractors.
Visitors were able to see
- Lely Splendimo disc mowers and conditioners
- Lely Lotus tedders
- Lely Hibiscus cam rakes
- Lely Welger fixed and variable chamber round balers
- Lely Tigo forage wagon
- Lely Storm forager
Ernest Doe Power were pleased to see so many customers at the event. Of course, when it’s right for a demonstration, it’s also the right conditions for farmers to be doing the very same jobs themselves. However, many farmers did find the time to take a break and see the action.
In addition to Lely equipment, there were Case IH Farmall and Puma tractors including the Puma CVX with continuously variable transmission. A Manitou telehandler and Case IH big baler were also working.
Customers were able to talk with technical representatives from Lely, Case IH and Ernest Doe Power. As equipment becomes more and more sophisticated and more and more under the influence of electronic controls, there is nothing like having the time to enable staff to show you the ins and outs.
Ernest Doe Power would like to thank A Peters & Sons for permission to use their land and crop for the demonstration and also to all the farmers who attended.
