As soon as one show closes, the next is being prepared. February is not the best time for thousands of people to be walking around on the same piece of ground. In 2014 it was identified that there were one or two areas where some hard standing would improve conditions underfoot for our visitors.
Two areas in particular were identified. One was in the top corner of the car park and another was the area around the construction working demonstration. With more than two months to go to Doe Show 2015, Shows and Demonstrations Manager Karl Last and his team set about clearing top soil in order that stone can be laid to create hard standing in these places.
It’s just part of the policy to make the show that bit better each year in order to improve facilities for visitors.
