Our annual manufacturers’ reception took place on Wednesday 5th February. The Doe Show is such an important fixture in our company’s calendar and the reception affords us an opportunity to say thank you for all the hard work and support provided by our suppliers and staff, ensuring that the Doe Show continues to be such a great success, year after year.
A number of awards are presented in recognition of suppliers who go the extra mile and provide excellent service and support to our business throughout the year, as well as to those who put on a particularly good display at the show.
All branch managers, parts and service managers and our sales teams are asked to rate our suppliers in all aspects of their sales and service delivery. This year, the awards were presented as follows:
Best overall supplier 2019 (for the third year running) – Dal-Bo
Best overall supplier – runner up – KRM
Best overall supplier – third place – Thwaites Dumpers
Best outside stand – Lemken for ‘The Lemken has Landed’
Best inside stand – Petronas for their stand featuring an F1 simulator
Best Suppliers Area Sales Manager – David Carver – New Holland Agriculture
The award for the Best Ploughman on our demonstration plots is a hotly contested category but this year’s winner was Colin Fenner.
Paul Wylie (a previous winner and former employee for many years until his recent retirement) was also recognised for all his hard work in organising the fantastic Yesteryear Tractor Display at the entrance to the show and presented with a bottle of champagne.
A warm welcome was given to a number of new members of our team for whom this was the first Doe Show:
Paul Langridge, Branch and Sales Manager for Albourne
Vinnie Copper, Area Sales Manager for Albourne
Anton Stander, Area Sales Manager for Fyfield
Eleazar McKeever, Area Sales Manager for Sudbury
Gareth Taylor, Area Sales Manager for Colchester
Alistair Pitcher, Area Sales Manager for Fulbourn
Thomas Mountain, Area Sales Manager for Marlesford
A special mention and a bottle of champagne was given to Richard Link, in recognition of 25 years as Branch Manager at our Dartford branch. Richard was awarded his gold watch back in 2016 for 25 years service with the company, having originally joined as a member of the sales team. Thank you for your continued dedication and service to the business Richard!
And the event was finished off with a rousing chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’ for Keith Mitchell, from our Ulting Parts Department, who was celebrating his 50th birthday that very same day! Keith’s son is ‘The Amazing Aiden’, the nominated charity for the Petronas stand with all donations given on the F1 simulator being donated to help fund Aiden’s ongoing therapies. More information on 5 year old Aiden’s journey so far can be found at www.amazingaiden.com.
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard and contributed to the success of the 60th Diamond Doe Show and thank you to all our friends, customers and suppliers for your enduring support, year after year – here’s to the next 60 years ….
